The SNAP Plus/Produce Perks program at Findlay Market helps families afford more fresh fruits and vegetables and other healthy food typically found in the Findlay Farmers Market.
In 2014, the Findlay Farmers Market and Findlay Market Farmstands were part of the Produce Perks pilot program in Hamilton County. Other participating markets include: Northside Farmers Market, Lettuce Eat Well Farmers Market, College Hill Farmers Market, Wyoming Farmers Market. As the name suggests, Produce Perks are only good for purchasing fruits and vegetables.
How SNAP Plus/Produce Perks Program Works at Findlay Market
- Go to Findlay Farmers Market on: Saturdays from 8 am - 2 pm or Sundays from 10 am - 2 pm. Or visit one of the Findlay Market Farmstands in Price Hill, Evanston or Walnut Hills
- At Findlay Market, just take your EBT card to Education Tent on south side of farmers market during farmers market hours.
- The incentive is a dollar-for-dollar match to every dollar spent (up to $10 per visit) using an Ohio Direction Card (EBT).
- Pay for your Findlay Farmers Market purchases with the tokens - every Findlay Farmers Market vendor will accept them. Brass tokens can only be used to purchase USDA-SNAP eligible food items and the green Produce Perks tokens can only be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables.
SNAP plus at Findlay Market is made possible with generous support from the P&G Fund.
